Experience Christmas

@ Mossley, Hurst and Waterloo
                           Methodist Churches

Pupils from three different Primary Schools visited Mossley Methodist Church on 28th November to ‘Experience Christmas’. When they arrived at the church they were first reminded of the story of the Nativity before being put into small groups. Each group then made its way around the five displays which together depicted the whole story.

At each display they were greeted by a different storyteller who explained to them a key part of the narrative and invited them to take part in different activities to engage with the meaning of the story.

At the end of the session everyone gathered round a crib scene and had the opportunity to think about what gift they would offer to the infant Jesus.

The displays will now be moving on to Waterloo Methodist Church and then Hurst Methodist Church where more pupils will have the opportunity to ‘Experience Christmas’.
